Monument record MYO3531 - Long Barrow Kexby

Summary

Aerial photographs show a trapezoidal shaped enclosure on the south side of Hagg Wood. It measures approximately 30m by 12m, and probably represents the site of a small levelled long barrow of Neolithic date. A small rectilinear enclosure of trapeziform plan and measuring 20m by 10m located to the south-west at SE 681520 is of unknown function but probably associated with the long barrow.

NMR Information:

Aerial photographs show a trapezoidal shaped enclosure on the south side of Hagg Wood. It measures approximately 30m by 12m, and probably represents the site of a small levelled long barrow of Neolithic date. A small rectilinear enclosure of trapeziform plan and measuring 20m by 10m located to the south-west at SE 681520 is of unknown function but probably associated with the nearby levelled long barrow.
