Field boundaries of probable Roman date show as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the west of the Sewage Works at Dunnington. The main feature comprises a ditch 400 metres long with others branching off it to north and south.

Full Description

Field boundaries of probable Roman date show as cropmarks identified from aerial photographs in 1975 to the west of the Sewage Works at Dunnington. The main feature comprises a ditch 400 metres long with others branching off it to north and south.

Historic England’s Archive holds a record of a possible levelled round barrow, appearing as a ring ditch (UI number: 1172896) within a complex of cropmarks which are considered to be of a later date.
