Full Description
NMR Information:
A possible prehistoric or Roman field system was seen as cropmarks on air photographs. The system comprises a series of long parallel ditches with some divisions created by perpendicular elements. Some of the ditches are overlapping and could represent different phases of construction. One of the ditches is very wide (upto 10m) and close by lies one of several possible pits, this could represent some kind of area of settlement. Lying within, and respected by the field system is a possible Bronze Age round barrow (see SE 54 NE 40). (1)
