Monument record MYO3584 - Multiple Ditch System, Stockton on the Forest

Summary

A possible prehistoric triple ditched boundary was seen as cropmarks on air photographs. The boundary is only visible as three ditches in one section, the other sections are double ditched. A single linear ditch runs up to meet the boundary from the north-west. The main boundary is aligned roughly north-south and is visible (although with breaks along its length) for a distance of 730m. The boundary would originally have been much more substantial than the remains suggest as the ditches are now plough-levelled and there is no evidence of associated banks.
