Summary

19th century cottages including the signalman’s cottage for the level crossing named “Chaloner Whin Gate” which used to cross Moor Lane. They are part of railway history as the road was realigned when Moor Lane railway bridge was built, leaving a cul-de-sac. Nominated for inclusion on the local list of heritage assets.
