Full Description

The hump-backed bridge with brick parapets crosses over the long serpentine lake, leading to the timber-framed and brick gatehouse building, known as the Lych Gate (Grade II). It was likely designed by Fred Rowntree along with the rest of the park. Together with the Lodge, Café and Dovecote above Lych Gate, it forms an important group of structures at the core of the Park. It offers views across the lake and is a popular birdwatching spot.
