Building record MYO4079 - Clifton Hospital Chapel

Summary

A chapel built for the use of patients in the North Riding Asylum by architects Gould & Fisher, described in The British Architect journal 1874 as "A handsome and convenient chapel". Damaged during WW2, some fittings and the East window were replaced and re-dedicated 1948-1950. An important landmark across the flat lands of the ings. Nominated for inclusion on the Local List of Heritage Assets.
