Building record MYO4106 - Primitive Methodist Chapel, Haxby
Summary
1867. The building is the only remaining evidence of the Primitive Methodist movement in Haxby. Its modest proportions indicate the relative poverty of its members. Although large wooden doors have been added the remainder of the building is intact and in good condition. An excellent example of decorative brickwork typical of Primitve chapels. Part of the local street scene. Nominated for inclusion on the Local List of Heritage Assets.
