Building record MYO4109 - Poverty Farm, Holtby

Summary

Vernacular two storey detached farmhouse in a prominent position overlooking Main Street. Local clamp brick with ‘tumbled gabling’, end dentilled brick chimney stacks with plain fireclay pots. Dentil course at eaves, rubbed brick-on-end lintels over openings. Raised brick verges with brick kneelers at eaves. Clay pantile roof. Wood vertical hung sash windows for 4 panes. Examples of original Yorkshire horizontal sliding sash windows in evidence. Farm buildings complex and extensive garden grounds to rear. Nominated for inclusion on the Local List of Heritage Assets.
