Find Spot record MYO4247 - Coin Hoard, Micklegate Bar
Summary
A hoard of less than 30 silver pennies of Aethelred II. The coins were found in a garden outside Micklegate Bar and were purchased by the Yorkshire Museum in 1886. There appears to be no documentary evidence for the acceepted opinion that these coins were found in 1882.
