Summary

Phase 10 illustrates the complete demolition of a building on the site and alterations to other buildings on site, with possible evidence of splitting the previous blacksmithing workshop into two separate properties: a smithy and hall.

Full Description

Phase 10- Complete demolition of building Y and alteration of location of building U's back wall. Possible evidence of the splitting of building U into smithy and separate hall. Double chimney stack mentioned in phase 9 probably replaced by brick chimney stack. Wall inserted using re-used 14th/15th century bricks, area of demolished building Y used as backyard. Possible new north-south partition wall between properties U and V. New brick wall at eastern end of building V.
