Building record MYO4405 - LOCK HOUSE AND DOUBLE RISE LOCK

Summary

Lock keepers cottage for the lock at the junction of the River Foss with the canalised section leading to Sheriff Hales, built between 1795 and 1810. Two-storeyed, brick and pantiles. The lock is a double rise lock, hence the name.
