lNMR Information:
(SE 62545000) Site of the old Hospital (NAT). (1)
(SE 62545000) Hospital (NR) (site of) (NAT). (2)
An almshouse or minor hospital was founded in 1608 beside
the York road, north of Heslington Hall, for a master and eight
inmates. The hospital, rebuilt on the Fulford road, Heslington
(Hospital shown at SE 62355015 on OS 6" 1853) in 1795 was
repaired and modernised in 1968 and is still in use. (3)
