Summary

A moat at Acaster Malbis, the former site of the 'hall of the Malbis family', was recorded in 1902. No trace was found during field investigation in 1963. *NOTE: it is possible that this could be MYO78, a moated site in Naburn nearby. The NMR information was too vague to say for sure. GIS location based on NMR information and the exact location of the site is unknown.

Full Description

NMR Information:

A moated site at Acaster Malbis within which stood the hall of the
Malibisses. (1)

Site not established. No features were seen that could be mistaken
for a moat, and nothing is known of one locally. (2)
