Full Description

Sherd of Middle Saxon pottery. This is now in the Yorkshire Museum. It is from the shoulder of a stamped pitcher
or storage vessel and is marked "Tempest Anderson Hall, York". It is of a well-fired light grey fabric and has been thrown on a slow wheel.
