Full Description

Bridge. Probably late C17 with later additions and alterations. Magnesian limestone ashlar. 2 segmental double-chamfered river arches with pointed cutwaters between. 3-course parapet with central refuges. Splayed ends. Pevsner, N., Yorkshire: York and The East Riding, 1978, p.223.

II* Sutton upon Derwent Bridge or Elvington Bridge. (That part in Derwent Rural District). Possibly 17th century. Rubble. Two segmental headed arches pointed cut waters with solid balustraded refuges. Parapet. Splayed ends.(2)
