Full Description
The bleach works were established circa 1804 and were leased by three York linen drapersfrom circa 1816. The mill and bleachworks were run jointly until the closure of the buisness in the early 1850s, at this time the site consisted of a bleach house, wash house, sheds two houses and four closes of grassland. The site was sold in 1857 and put to agricultural use, the buildings have since been demolished and the site is now part of York University.
