Summary

An extensive system of ridge and furrow cultivation of probably Medieval date shows up on vertical aerial photographs to the west and east of Holtby village. Little occurs towards the northern end of the parish. More recent photography shows this levelled by ploughing in places. Parent record for existing R&F records.
