Full Description

In Peter Lane was a Maison Dieu founded by John de Darthyngton. In his will dated 15th March, 1401/2, he leaves 6s 8d to each poor bedfast person in an almshouse he founded in Peter Lane. It existed in 1390 when Roger de Moreton left money to it. In 1407 Laurentia Van Harlam left 4d to every bed in one of which lay her husband. The last reference is 1470 in the ill of Elizabeth Dugdale.
