Blast shelter associated with Clifton Airfield, recorded by the Pillbox Study Group.
Shown on the 1967 1:2500 OS map associated with Clifton Airfield

Assessed and visited February 2023 by York University student Joseph Keeley as part of Raids Over York Project. Height 140cm, width 544cm and length/depth 650cm.
This shelter is mostly intact, there is noticable wear including several large cracks to side walls and minor collapse to the rear left corner. The floor plan is still easily recognisable and the interior wall is mostly undamaged. The shelter is heavily overgrown and inaccessible. This shelter is one of 2 unique designs on the Clifton RAF camp site.
