Full Description
Blast shelter recorded by the Pillbox Study Group associated with Clifton airfield.
Assessed and visited February 2023 by York University student Joseph Keeley as part of Raids Over York Project. Height 140cm, width 936cm and length/depth 901cm. This shelter is mostly intact, there is minor wear most notably the collapse of a small portion of the interior wall and some missing brick caps. The shelter is accessible from the front entrance but is partially overgrown. The floor plan is still easily recognisable.
