Full Description
Location of a Stanton shelter recorded by the Pillbox Study Group.
Assessed and visited February 2023 by York University student Joseph Keeley as part of Raids Over York Project. Height 140cm, width 936cm and length/depth 901cm.
This shelter is in good condition, it has been protected from significant damage by the earth bank surrounding it. All walls are still standing however show signs of significant environmental wear to a lot of the bricks. Internally the shelter is open apart from some very minor vegetation growth. Overall this shelter is mostly accessible with neither entrance being blocked.
Condition described as good - Completely or almost entirely intact with minimal damage, easy to recognise original form.
