Full Description

Location of a Stanton shelter recorded by the Pillbox Study Group.

Assessed and visited February 2023 by York University student Joseph Keeley as part of Raids Over York Project. Height 140cm, width 936cm and length/depth 901cm.

This shelter is mostly intact, the walls have collapsed in a few locations including half of an entrance and there is significant environmental wear to a lot of the bricks. The shelter is covererd in overgrown and surrounded by thick vegetation making access difficult. However the interior is mostly clear and shows a similar level of wear to the external features of the shelter.

Condition described as medium - mostly complete, some damage to the structure but original form still recognisable.
