Full Description

Location of a Stanton shelter recorded by the Pillbox Study Group.

Assessed and visited February 2023 by York University student Joseph Keeley as part of Raids Over York Project. Height 140cm, width 936cm and length/depth 901cm.

This shelter has been half removed for the construction of a path through the nature reserve, half the structure has been demolished and dumped in the remaining section. The shelter is heavily overgrown and buried.

Condition described as very bad- structure could only be interpreted through research of the area or prior knowledge, minor evidence of remains can be interpreted.
