Full Description

Location of a Stanton shelter recorded by the Pillbox Study Group.

Assessed and visited February 2023 by York University student Joseph Keeley as part of Raids Over York Project. Height 140cm, width 936cm and length/depth 901cm.

This shelter remains mostly inplace however shows significant wear, most of the walls have collapsed and part of one of the entrances is missing. Internally the shelter is mostly open but again shows significant wear, there are large collapses in the internal walls. The shelter is part surrounded by dense vegetation and has several trees growing in and around it.

Condition described as poor - Incomplete and/or heavily damaged, original structure/form is interpretable but not obvious.
