Full Description

Assumed based on watching brief by LS Archaeology that the farm was established into an earlier agricultural landscpae in the 1800s.

The 19th century grouped farm buildings consisted of a Combination Barn, Loosebox and Cowhouse. The Loosebox was annexed to Combination Barn and generally dates to the 1850s. The cowhouse is of typical design. Development of cowhouses was linked to the introduction of hygiene regulations between 1880-1940. The one at Breck Farm was constructed pre 1907.
