Full Description

Doctor's house. c1909-1914 with 1986 extension to right. By Parker and Unwin, for Joseph Rowntree Village Trust. Pebbledashed brick with French tile roof. House is L-shaped on plan. Surgery to south at right angles to main range to house. House: 2 storeys, 3 bays. To left: round-arched porch with tile trim contains round-arched door. Plate-glass casement to left. Right wing breaks forward and contains pair of 2-light casements. First floor: 2-light casements to left. Pair of 2-light casements to right. Sprocketed eaves and half-hipped roof. Ridge stacks. Surgery: single storey with pair of 2-light fixed windows to north facade and 2-light casement to gable end.
