Full Description

Seven houses. Mid C19. Brick with some painted stone dressings. Slate roof. Built as part of a curved terrace. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and 3 storeys plus attic. Each house 2 bays, with a 1st floor sill band and a gutter carried on rectangular brackets. The windows are sashed, except for the 1st floor windows of No.23 and the 2nd floor windows of Nos 22, 23 and 24, which are glazing bar sashes. Each house has a single-storey canted bay window at the left with a modillioned cornice. At the right each has a doorcase with panelled pilasters, panelled reveals, and a modillioned cornice. The doors have 4 panels and plain rectangular overlights. No.21 has 2 gabled attic dormers, and Nos 20 and 19 have one dormer each. Chimneys in front of ridge to left and right of each house. INTERIORS: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: all the gardens are enclosed by low brick walls with stone copings. Nos 20, 21 and 24 have cast-iron gates and gateposts, and No.19 has a low iron gate and posts. No.25 has no gate but has an iron gatepost and one similar truncated post. Its front and side walls carry iron railings with cast spear finials. The front wall of No.24 carries similar railings. The front wall to No.22 has a widened entrance with brick piers.
