Abstract/Summary
Natural deposits identifed at 12.45m AOD in Trench 1 and 11.85m AOD in Trench 2. Overlying were possible Roman soils and a ditch. This was truncated by rubbish pits contianing 11th-12th century pottery. There was substantial ground make up dating to the 19th century sealing earlier activity.
