An Archaeological watching brief was carried out on the 21st of May 2014 by MAP Archaeological Practice to the rear of 14 Moss Street in support of an application of single storey extension. The works involved the hand excavation of two sections of trenching which formed an L-shape foundation trench. No significant archaeological deposits were observed through this excavation, the depth of the trenching was within post-medieval ground raising deposits.
