York Historic Environment Record

On 29th September 2015, York Archaeological Trust undertook a watching brief at 17 Tadcaster Road, Copmanthorpe, York. The objective was to record any deposits, features or buried structures exposed during works associated with the opening of trenches for the foundations of a garage between the current residence and the main road (Tadcaster Road). Further works are included in the planning condition and are scheduled for next year, when archaeological monitoring will resume.This report is an interim to cover works undertaken so far; a final report will be prepared when the remaining works have been observed.
