Abstract/Summary
On 2nd November 2016 York Archaeological Trust commenced a watching brief on
development at 23-24 Main Street, Heslington. During the work a cobble surface, a stone wall
foundation and build up deposits were encountered. The stone wall foundation had postmedieval
pottery associated with its construction cut. The results of the watching brief are of
low archaeological importance.
