Abstract/Summary
Stephen Haigh Buildings Archaeologist
The historic outbuildings at Lodge Farm, in Dunnington civil parish near York (NGR: SE
68336 51484), date from the 18th to the 20th century, and are all brick-built with pantile
roofs. Three of them form an irregular courtyard arrangement to serve a mixed farming
establishment, and have evolved to their present form over a number of centuries, while the
fourth is set apart and includes an open-fronted cart-shed. Recording was carried out for the
owner, Mrs Frankland, to fulfil a condition of planning consent for a residential development
at the site.
