Creation of the new opening through the stone boundary wall recorded architectural fragements incorporated into the wall. This consisted of at least four voussoirs and stones with chamfers and roll mouldings. The voussoirs may be derived from the flying buttresses on the north aisle of the nave. The excavation for the new gate opening to a depth pf 350mmexposed garden soil and a layer of mortar and small stone inclusions thought to be associated with the known demolition debris from the removal of houses to form College Green in the 19th century
