Abstract/Summary
York Archaeological Trust undertook seven weeks of evaluative excavation at 38 Piccadilly, York (NGR SE 60585158) during March and April 1992. The work was undertaken on behalf of Polar Motor Company (York) Ltd and Wimpey Property Holdings Ltd. A trench measuring 3m x 3m was excavated to determine the extent and nature of the surviving archaeological stratification.
