Natural sand and clay was uncovered just 0.21m below the present ground level. The only notable features recorded during the watching brief were a late post-medieval to modern brick lined well, recorded 2.20m from the southwest end of the foundation trench, and a modern brick lined structure recorded adjacent to the existing building to the east, likely associated with the 19th century farm.
