Abstract/Summary

Magnitude Surveys was commissioned to assess the subsurface archaeological potential of a c. 3.14ha area of land rear of Moor House, Narrow Lane, Wigginton, North Yorkshire. A fluxgate magnetometer survey was successfully completed and no anomalies of archaeological origin have been identified and the geophysical results primarily reflect historic and recent agricultural activity in the form of buried field drains and a historic ridge-and-furrow ploughing system.
