Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by On-Site Archaeology Ltd, between May and July 2021, during groundworks at Skelton Hall, Skelton, York.
The watching brief was undertaken to satisfy a planning condition. The investigation comprised the monitoring of the machine excavation of a single foundation trench, three service trenches and two test pits.
A single small pit, only partially visible, and a possible furrow were the only archaeological features identified. No dating evidence was recovered from this watching brief.
