Abstract/Summary
An archaeological evaluation was carried out by On-Site-Archaeology at St Michael le Belfrey church, York in May 2022 during two technical trial holes investigations within the church.
The investigation revealed potentially pre-16th century church construction deposits which were indicated the possible reuse of foundations and an earthen floor. Deposits related to the 19th century re-ordering of the church were also recorded.
