Date/Year 2022

Abstract/Summary

A likely Roman practice camp was discovered through Lidar survey on Bootham Stray. The camp was noted by antiquarians in the 18th century but was forgotten until its recent rediscovery, mainly due to it not being visible on aerial photographs in the area, which had highlighted the presence of the other camps.
