Abstract/Summary
Watching brief for gas pipe trench. The majority of the deposits encountered during the works appear to be modern in origin, however the monitoring did reveal some isolated areas of surviving structures. The upper c.1.00m of Cromwell Road, Bishophill Senior and Buckingham Street have been repeatedly and wholly disturbed, with any pre-Victorian archaeological remains completely removed or heavily truncated.
