Abstract/Summary
Intermittently between November 2001 and January 2002 York Archaeological Trust carried out
an archaeological watching brief on land at 7 St. Allarys Lane, York, during the construction of
a concrete slab for a new house. Tiie work was undertaken for Moray Mackay Architects. The
watching brief revealed a section of 16th or 17th century boundary wall in the eastern corner Of
the development area, onto which was butted the remnants of an 18th century building, Sealing
this were late post-medieval and modern garden deposits which was all tllat was disturbed
during construction.
