2/5 Coffin, approximately 4 metres south of south door of St Mary's Church
GV II
Coffin. Said to be Roman. Millstone grit. Approximately 1.25 metres x 0.5 metres x 0.25 metres. Simple coffin with chamfered lid. Found in 1838 in a neighbouring field. 'The Church of St Mary, Askham Richard, Historical Notes'.
