Description

Actually an Antiquarian record. Stone Coffin found in 1865 beneath Ebor Street near to its junction with Cherry Street. A Castor Ware beaker and glass jug from it are in the Yorkshire Museum; the latter is of clear ice-green glass and has one two-ribbed handle, a kicked base and a foot ring. THE TOMBSTONE OF Vitellia Procula's child was found a few yards away. CONSTRUCTION WORK. Found in 1865, height and depth unrecorded
