Description

A 3x 3m trench was excavated in May-June 1992 close to the street frontage. Natural was recorded 7.4m bgl. RCHME microfilm PRN 3277. Evidence suggested Med./Post Med. dump deposits acting as areas of land reclamation along the course of the Ouse. (Roman cobbled area described as 'yard' for indexing purposes).
