Description

The excavation required for the service lift at the rear of the property consisted of a hand dug pit, measuring 1.20m by 1.00m and dug to a finished depth of 0.60m below the level of the present concrete floor surface. After c.0.25m of concrete and hardcore were removed the remaining deposits excavated consisted of a homogeneous mixture of dark brown friable silty clays and loams with inclusions of small cobbles, brick and limestone fragments.
