Full Description

Magnesian limestone, possibly once inscribed near the corner of the Marriot Hotel boundary wall. Historically boundary stones mark the start of a land boundary or the change in a boundary, especially a change in direction of a boundary. There are two other boundary stones nearby that are Grade II listed, marking the division of Hob Moor and the Micklegate Stray.
