Monument record MYO4675 - YORK CITY WALLS Tower 29
Summary
Site of interval tower on the York City walls, not depicted on plans after 1822. It is variously shown as of round or rectangular form dating it to the period 1266-1350. No trace has been found of the earlier medieval gate, which was probably situated on the site of the Roman porta decumana, somewhere in the region of Tower 29.
