Summary

Medieval drain discovered in 1984 during investigation of Victorian sewer collapse in Museum Gardens. Likely to be 14th century in date with some re-used Roman masonry.

Full Description

Features an arched roof for part of its length which gives way to a slabbed ceiling. It was wide enough for a man to walk through in a crouched position. Approx. 64m in length.
