Abstract/Summary
This report presents the results of the controlled observation, investigation and recording (watching brief) undertaken at 5 Ferry Lane, on the 1st July 2016. The machine excavation of the foundation trenches were monitored.
No archaeological features were encountered, only modern drainage, although three sherds of
medieval pottery were retrieved from the subsoil layer, which may relate to activity in the area from
that period.
